| Congratulations to the Grandview Park Baptist JH Band on earning a "I" rating at the SCIBA Concert Band Contest on March 27, 2010. The contest was held at Urbandale High School and included schools from Des Moines, West Des Moines, Earlham, and Urbandale. The highest rating is a "I+" and was received by two of the six bands. The GPBS Junior High Band was joined by six of the 6th grade band members for this event. more band... |

Jay Ross was named the
Friday Night Blitz Athlete of the Week
on WOI-TV (channel 5) on the opening night of the Football playoffs.
He was able to start the Senior Night game versus Mormon Trail High School with the opening kickoff. Number 24 continued to handle the kickoff duties as Grandview went on to score 42 points.
