National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist
Grandview is pleased to announce that Jonathan has been selected as a semifinalist in the scholarship competition conducted by NMSCorp. There still remain several rigorous criteria that he must meet in order to be declared a finalist. We will learn later this spring his standing in this competition.
All juniors take the PSAT in the fall which is then used nationally to determine the students who will qualify for NMS consideration. This is the first time that Grandview has had at least one semifinalist in back-to-back years.
Jonathan has also been selected as a 2012 Governor's Scholar and Channel 5 (WOI) Best in Class.
Jonathan, along with academics, is highly involved at GPBS: football, Sound of Praise, band, Student Council, Sons of Thunder, chapel music worship team. He is looking to study engineering in college.
Congratulations Jonathan! Keep up the good work! |

Congratulations Mr. Seyler
As the advisor of the student council, he works directly with students of all grades. He helped invent the Grandview Outreach Ministry, Sons of Thunder, Junior High Retreat, and other various ministries. He is truly a visionary leader when it comes to ministries reaching outside of our school to other students. His passion for his God has encouraged many students as they go through life and continue on to college. We at Grandview are thankful for him and all he has done.
Thank you for your dedication to the Lord and to our students.
