I was sitting in church on a Sunday evening and our pastor, Orlan Wilhite, was preaching on salvation. We were on our way home from church, and I was thinking a lot about whether I was saved or not. My mom was putting me to bed when I started asking her many questions. She shared verses with me about how I could have eternal life. She shared with me John 3:16. That night I asked God to forgive me of my sins and to save me. A few years later I was baptized at Grandview Park Baptist Church. I was in 6th grade when I questioned my salvation. It was then that I realized my need to have a time in God's Word each day. I began to develop a personal, daily relationship with the Lord. The Lord has been gracious and merciful to me as His child. I make many mistakes, but I am humbled at the holiness of God and His Son Jesus Christ who have made a way for my sins to be remembered no more.
