What is God's Garden?
God's Garden is our nursery ministry provided for parents attending Grandview Park Baptist Church . A safe, fun, and loving environment is provided for all infants and toddlers on Sunday during the Adult Bible Fellowship hour (9:00am) and during the 10:00am and 6:00pm Worship Services. God's Garden is a place where children can begin to grow "in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man" (Luke 2:52).
God's Garden includes:
- The Tender Shoots (birth through eleven months)
- The Li'l Sprouts (twelve through twenty-three months)
God's Garden is a safe environment.
We want the children in our care to feel safe and to be safe. God's Garden caregivers have passed a screening process that includes a membership requirement, a personal meeting with a pastoral staff member, reference and criminal background checks, and childcare training.
The God's Garden ministry always staffs at least two caregivers in each nursery and strives to maintain a caregiver-to-child ratio that allows us to attend to each child's needs. We also have an established check-in procedure to ensure the safety of the children. A First-Aid kit is located in the nursery's restroom facility.
God's Garden is a fun environment.
A child's work is play! From an infant following a brightly-colored toy with her eyes to a toddler stacking building blocks, children learn by playing. Our nurseries contain age-appropriate equipment and toys that are disinfected after each session.
God's Garden is a loving environment.
Children are full of wide-eyed wonder as they constantly learn new things, and they needs lots of love and encouragement. Caregivers teach and model spiritual truths as they interact with these young ones.
