Interest Survey I Job Sites

What are the needs? What are your skills, abilities, gifts, and talents? How could the Lord use you to meet the needs?

Three questions to answer genuinely before the Lord as you look for a life path. There is more to a career than providing for a family, finding satisfaction in accomplishment, or building wealth for security or pleasure. I think a career is the way God will use your skills and talents long term to meet needs within this world in a way that will bring glory to Him. In general this will occur by the way you work, the way you interact, and the way you respond; in particular you will bring the Lord glory when He crosses your path with others who need to know Him.

Not all careers by any means require a college degree; however, as more and more careers become technical in nature, further training is becoming a necessity. Perhaps the training will be provided by the employer. Perhaps only a specialized certificate is needed. Perhaps you will be trained in the military. What ever your career or educational path, would you consider how the Lord could use you to meet needs of people and to bring Himself glory? –Mr. Taylor

Interest Survey

Completing an interest survey in an honest fashion will aid in determining career and educational areas for further consideration. Often one does not think about the variety of paths available. The ACT, SAT, and PLAN tests include an interest survey. You likely have already taken the PLAN. Review your test results and World-of-Work placement. Discuss your goals, dreams, and plans with your parents and teachers. Some of the web sites listed below will also contain an interest survey.
