..: JH Large Group Contest :..Congratulation to the JH band on their excellent performace at the Large Group Contest on Saturday, April 21st. On the JH contest rating scale, the band received a 1 rating which is the second highest rating possible. The contest was held at Dallas Center-Grimes High School. |

Congratulation to those selected to participate in the ISU Honor Band! This two day event will have an all-day rehearsal on Friday, February 3rd and will continue rehearsing Saturday morning. The concert will be held at Stephens Auditorium at 3:00 pm. Cost for the Concert is $7 for adults, $5 for children and senior citizens. |

Krista Brown has been selected by audition to be a member of the All Iowa 8th grade honor band. There are 132 students selected from throughout the state for this honor. It is the highest honor for an 8th instrumentalist in the state of Iowa. This group will rehearse and perform at the 2012 Iowa Bandmaster's Convention to be held in Des Moines, May, 2012. In addition, Krista was 2nd chair flute in the Blue Bland (most select band) at the SCIBA JH Honor Band concert held Nov. 1, 2011 in Johnston, IA. The following 7th graders also participated in the SCIBA JH Honor band on Nov. 1: AJ Gill and Miranda Bishop. They were selected by director recommendation.
