Adults > Small Groups

The first time you come to a worship service at Grandview Park Baptist Church you may enjoy the music and the message, but will you be known? Will you be able to share your prayer needs or burdens with anyone? Probably not. Will it because our church body was unloving or insensitive? We hope not! It is probably because the greater the number of people gathered together into one group, the less they are able to know each other. Conversely, the fewer the people in a gathering, the more they can know each other personally. This is the role that a small group can play in your Christian growth.

What is a small group? A Christian small group is an intentional, face to face gathering of 3 to 13 adults meeting regularly for the common purpose of exploring and growing in all the possibilities of life in Christ.

So what is the purpose of a small group? Our small group ministry exists so you might experience caring, nurturing relationships within our church community and that each group member might know Christ, grow in Christ, and go in Christ's name to others outside the group.

How will this be purpose be realized? This "k2g" ( know, grow, go) focus will be accomplished by each small group as they meet regularly for sharing a common interest in the study of God's Word, praying for one another, and telling their own personal story of faith.

Small groups normally meet on Wednesday evenings throughout the community although some groups do meet at the church building. If you would like more inofrmation on a group near you, please contact us and someone will contact you.
