How do I grow as a Christian at Grandview Park Baptist Church?
The life of following Jesus Christ was never meant to be solitary. The Early Christians pursued it in groups and so we do too! We call our Sunday morning groups - Bible Fellowship Groups. These groups meet at 9:00 a.m. before the morning Worship.
At Grandview Park Baptist Church , we gather together in Worship as a large-group for the purpose of exalting God and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. We invite you to "Come and magnify the Lord with us" on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. in our Worship Center. But the Worship celebration does not provide the opportunity to build significant relationships with other people so that is why we offer Bible Fellowship Groups for all ages.
We believe true Christianity is built on relationships, not by a routine or through some kind of a ritual, even if it is "religious." It starts with an individual's relationship with God which happens by trusting in Jesus Christ and turning away from sin and one's self. Your relationship in Christ by faith will grow through developing strong, spiritual relationships with other Christians. It's the "Way to Grow."
What is a Bible Fellowship Group?
Each week in your Bible Fellowship Group you will study God's Word and see how it applies to everyday life. Your life in Jesus Christ will grow and so will our church as you and your BFG strive together to fulfill the "one anothers" of real life in Jesus Christ:
Loving one another
Praying for one another
Serving one another
Accepting one another
Forgiving one another
Caring for one another
Encouraging one another
Although our Bible Fellowship Groups are represented by age, which usually helps people connect through the common stages of life, you should choose a BFG that best serves you through strengthening your life in Christ and with other Christians. Remember, it's the "Way to Grow." At Grandview Park you will find the following Adult Bible Fellowship Groups:
- Deaf (adults with hearing impairment)
- Shepherds (young adults with special needs)
- Journey (singles 18-30)
- LinC (Ladies in Christ)
- LifeWay (20s & 30s)
- New Horizons (30s & 40s)
- Life Builders (40s & 50s)
- Bereans (50s & 60s)
- Willing Ambassadors (Senior Saints)
