The Junior Retreat was a blast this year. Our speaker was Pastor Jonathan Meyer. He spoke on the power of prayer, and how God answers prayers in dramatic ways. It was challenging, yet encouraging. It was fun to interact with him, and it showed that he was there because he wanted to help us on our spiritual journeys. However, the whole time was not spent in sessions, and we had a lot of free time. During that time we could do whatever we felt like. Many of us played games inside for a while, including a very intense game of spoons, causing quite a few injuries. We also watched Renee and Evan battle it out in a basketball game. To end the evening, we had a bonfire, and were able to speak what was on our hearts. It was encouraging to hear my classmates tell where they are currently, and what they need help on. Overall, it was a great bonding experience.
